It’s been a tricky couple of weeks, but musically everything’s been great. My gig in Manchester, at the Peer Hat, was super enjoyable, and my new single Outside In was broadcast on Sean McGinty’s BBC Introducing show last night. Positive thinking let’s be having youย ๐
Here’s me – fresh off a bus from rehearsals in Manchester, at BBC Radio Lancashire in Blackburn:

I had a lovely catch-up with Sean McGinty on his BBC Introducing in Lancashire show. We spoke about my experience recording a live video at BBC North West and a couple of other cool things that are around the corner… Check it out here:
I’ve spent the last couple of weeks preparing for various music sessions. The first ofย my sessions involved my return to Catalyst Studios with Sugar House. Sugar House are the producers that have been producing my tracks for the last couple of years. I’m excited to share the finished track with everyone very soon, but at the moment I’ve been focussing on a couple of other things…
Firstly, the Independent Venue Week showcase at Wigan! This included my live-set on the line-up! I was joined by a synth player on stage, and it was a great experience. My last performance accompanied by a synth player only, will be when I support IORA, in Manchester, in March. After that, I’m hoping to start gigging with the full kit and caboodle! Exciting developments to the live band are already underway.
Lastly, live performance video recorded by the BBC North West Tonight team for BBC Introducing Lancashire! I’ve been really excited about this opportunity, and I’m looking forward to my experience at Media City in the next couple of days.
As a side note,ย I watched La La Land a couple of weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it – really relatable story and a lovely soundtrack, amongst other things!
It was great to be featured, for the second consecutive year, on BBC Introducing in Lancashire’s ‘Best Of’ show. I’m really thankful for all of the radio support that Sean McGinty has given my music since my first upload… 2018 will hopefully be just as exciting in terms of my musical journey (I’m currently looking forward to being an owner of a Novation MiniNova synth in a couple of weeks!!!!!).
More new material is on its way in 2018… For now, if there are any Spotify users out there that are interested in listening to some under-the-radar alt-synth-pop tunes, then please check out my latest music via the following link! Thank you!
Really grateful that Blink has had more airplay on Amazing Radio thanks to all of the kind souls in the OurStage community voting for it!
Sober also had its first ever BBC Introducing airplay recently! Thanks to Sean McGinty and his team over at BBC Introducing in Lancashire for their continued support.
Currently writing and recording some demos ready for the studio in 2018!
Please see below, for the teaser trailer, for my new synth-infused track Sober (official video available on Vevo next week!):
Lastly, I recently discovered that Blink won the Pop category on the OurStage competition. I was so excited about this when I found out, as the OurStage community voted for the track, which means that… people like the track!!! I understand that my music won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but it is a lovely feeling when I feel connected to people through music (such as sharing a love for another artist or relating to another artist’s song)… It makes me feel less lonely! So, I’m over the moon that Blink got voted for!
I’ll be performing at a gig tonight in Wigan, so will probably spend the rest of the day preparing for that.
