Studio Session Reflection

I had a great couple of days last week, back in the studio, recording a new song… I worked with Sugar House again, at Catalyst Studios, in St Helens.

For this track, we used live drums, bass guitar, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, synths, and more! It’s a track that I CANNOT WAIT for you all to hear… The release date is likely to be at the start of 2020, but fear not – I’m planning on getting involved in loads of exciting stuff in the meantime!

News

I am heading back into the studio in October to record a new Synth-Pop tune – I’m very excited. ALSO IN OCTOBER, I’ll be performing at a very special live event in Manchester (more details to follow soon). Amidst the excitement, I’ve decided to update my profile and cover photos on my social media links. Looking forward to sharing the new track with the world soon, and performing again with the band.

YouTube Updates

I have finally got around to updating my personal YouTube channel. So far, I’ve uploaded all the songs off my debut studio EP ‘Don’t Let the Bad Seeds Grow’ into a playlist, which can be found here:

Two songs off this EP (Blue Sky and No Other Fish) were broadcast on BBC Radio 6 and ALL were broadcast on my local BBC Introducing station several times. I hope you enjoy listening to it!

If you enjoy what you hear, the songs can also be played on other platforms such as SoundCloud, Spotify, iTunes, Google Play, Deezer, and so on. Thanks for visiting my post.

More updates to follow xx

Binge-O

Hello

I’ve recently created a playlist on Spotify called “Binge-O” (please see below). This playlist contains some catchy songs that I’ve discovered over the last couple of months, that I simply love to have repeat listens to (binge-worthy central!).

Binge-O

I find it interesting studying the songs that I love listening to, to see if there’s a relationship between the songs in terms of tempo/key/melody/narrative etc. A good website, called Tunebat (please follow link below), is great for getting some stats on the songs you love!
